20 years ago today, the original PlayStation was released to start competing against Nintendo and Sega in the USA. 20 Years later, it is in its 4th generation and goes strong against Nintendo and Microsoft.

Any fond memories of the playstation and its games?
 
Heck yeah. Impressing girls with my new PS1 which was released days previously when the whole world went dry of product for a month straight. I was the KING. I'd have 6 friends just chilling with me in the basement playing it up on my state of the art 36inch tube. BTW, that is not the regular tube, it was the premium wood frame upgrade. BOO-YA. lol.

The 1st medal gear solid, Driver, Need for speed 1. Wow, there's a lot of fun memories there.
Wow, the graphics look crazy. To think I played 100hours on that and thought they were spectacular.

Nice! My grandparents had a large wood framed tv and it was awesome playing games on it.

My household only got a Playstation due to my brothers going out and buying it, my parents were nintendo only who wouldn't convert. Not sure if our first game was Twisted metal 2 or FF 7.
 
PS1, PS2 and PS4 all have fond memories by myself. I loved playing Resident Evil, Dino Crisis and Crash Bandicoot on the old systems and am hoping for many more amazing years to come.
 
Weird thing. I mentioned twisted metal then the next day I saw it available for free with the PS+ but for some reason I couldn't get it.
This will be a blast from the past if I can grab it!
 
I remember Crash Bandicoot on PS1 this game was soo awesome !

 
The only reason I got to play the Playstation was because my older brother when out and bought one. We were a Nintendo only household up until then. The first game I ever played on it was Twisted Metal and I am still a fan to this day.
 
I started with play station 2, and i have real good memories with GOD of War as my first game :grin:. Amazing times!
