What kind of game would it be?

I'd try mixing platforming elements with RPG elements. Mario levels up in the overworld and battles are done with various enemies when you get to certain levels and unlock new skills. More of the same as previous RPG games. I would like to put cameos of other characters and give backstories to Popple, and Fawful and then maybe insert some Paper Mario characters that would improve on only just using Mario in Paper Jam. Custom teams with helpers from Paper Mario 1-3 would make for more replayability.
