I've never done this before. I didn't even know this was possible. I don't usually play story games though, so most likely I would not rent video games even if it was possible.

I've only been around for one other Steam sale which was the 2015 Winter sale, but I agree that this time the sales are mildly disappointing. I've seen some 40% off sales which are pretty good, but they are still very expensive. Last sale, I got a lot of games for less than $4 CDN.

Stardew Valley, older GTA games, and maybe Rocket League are the games I can think of off the top of my head.

I would say no. 8GB should be plenty still. While playing games like Battlefield, I only use about 4GB of my RAM. I'm pretty GTA 5 is not too RAM hungry, but you could use a monitoring program to check your RAM usage while playing.

I know this may make me sound like a PC Elitist, but no, I would not. Consoles are quite overpriced. I'm also not interested in playing video games on a console. Even if my favorite game, LoL, became a console exclusive, I am 99% sure I would still stick with PC.
