I think it depends on what your career is. As a nurse, I have a lot of options. I can work in a hospital, at a doctor's office, as a home health nurse, for the state, at schools, at an insurance company, or for a law firm. I could also teach. So I don't necessarily have another career field as a...
Volunteering will definitely help (and should be on your resume). Also, you might consider putting together some kind of portfolio of your work in college and while volunteering (if you can) for when you get an interview. Right now, a lot of companies are swamped with people applying for...
Family, friends, a good book, my career, being a mom, being a wife, feeling needed, feeling appreciated, laughing, the snow, music, some games, and my co-workers.
Not at all. I never use to watch DVD's on my PS2 (back in the day) because the different speeds the games and movies had to spin at could damage the PS2 (way back when they first came out).
I don't buy video game consoles because they can play music or movies or whatever additional crap the...
I don't think they should ever be able to earn money off of what they did. It was irresponsible and shouldn't ever be put in a positive light. Them making money off of it 4 years later might still be enought for some other idiot to do something in the future. It's amazing what people will...
QUOTE (GracefulAssassin @ December 26, 2009 09:26 pm) QUOTE (Seaofclouds @ December 26, 2009 04:53 pm) I'd rather without. I never minded having memory carSANTA. I personally don't see the need for a console to have as much memory as the PS3 and Xbox 360 do. Then again, I have no intention of...
I use the GPS in my phone just because it's there. I wouldn't buy an actual GPS system just to have it though. I prefer pulling out the map and figuring out where I'm going and planning my own way instead of listening to a computer system.
The PS3, which we just got a few weeks ago. I've had an HD tv and HD television programming for years though. I just know broke down and got the PS3 because FFXIII will be out soon.
Gaming use to take a lot of my time, but that was before I had a kid and before I was a nurse.
Now, with work full-time, school part-time, and a family (husband and son), gaming gets less of my time than most other things.
Also, I have to share my consoles with my son now, so that cuts into...
I'd rather without. I never minded having memory cards. I personally don't see the need for a console to have as much memory as the PS3 and Xbox 360 do. Then again, I have no intention of using them for anything beyond gaming either.
Sure it's great that they can do other things (like the...
I think little kiSANTA really are forgetting about some of the basics of childhood. Unless parents or other role models remind them, things will start to fade away. Some of that is natural, but there definitely seems to be fewer kiSANTA out playing freeze tag or hide and seek, and more wanting...
I've been with Nintendo since the release of the NES. (Yeah I'm getting old)
I think it has the potential for sticking around, if the developers continue to make good games and maybe even step up some of the games. I loved Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, and Zelda on the Wii. They looked good and...
