Yeah, the more independent outlets are, the better. Don't get me wrong, fanboys definitely push their agendas, independent or not. But at least with independence you don't have corporate overlords telling you what your opinion should be/is.

Honestly, this is a good thing. In fact, all these sites need to be independent. It's much easier to take your word at face value when you don't have a corporate overlord to answer to.
