Just curious, but does PS4 play PS1 games via the PSN?
Not as far as I am aware, no. I think its something that has being called out for by fans previously.
Its limited as is for PS2, they are more than just emulated games to be honest. I know they asked who wanted it in a survey recently so they might look into bringing that around too.I know it started to play PS2, I don't get why they can't slap in the emulator for PS1 then.
More of a reason to keep your PS3 around haha.
I think there are quite a few of them in there in the PSN, I might be wrong but I will look more into it though.
I was thinking about it too that there were a lot on PS3 but I am sure there is something on ps4. I am building my hopes into it.you mean PS1 for PS4? There are plenty for PS3 but not PS4.

Since PS4.5 will have identical features to PS4, according to reports, I imagine this is highly unlikely unless PS4 also comes to support PS1 titles - like I said they asked if the community wanted it before implementing PS2 games, so I would say it would happen eventually.I'm hoping the PS4.5 would taking PS1.
It might worth thousands of dollars, in the distant future, to an antiquity collector...More of a reason to keep your PS3 around haha.

PS2 and PS1 didn't use blu-ray disks. So it has a different reader for disks on the PS4, so can't read them (from what I've been told)I find it odd that if the old PS2 system could play PS1, PS4 should be able to support both.
