Endemol Shine Studios has acquired the rights to adapt EA DICE's first-person series into a TV series and will hopefully boost game sales of the game.

Could go either way, I will give it a go though. Could make an interesting TV show concept.
I would think it do well with non gamers.
Could possibly, as long as it tries to stand as its own entity rather than just tell the story of the games.

I dont think it will bang with a big hit. Adoptions from games usually fail to appeal people. I cant say about non gamers..
I think it could work! Movie adaptations from videogames usually don't work because a videogame story is extense and hard to adapt, but in a series the story could work and even expand it, also the character development shouldn't be a problem with it. I think it's a great idea.

I've never played Mirror's Edge, but it makes curious how that would work. Without being in first person it kinda loses its edge.
