The Wolfe allows high-performance gaming, virtual reality, graphic design, and video-editing for laptops - especially MacBooks.

This does look like a good external video card for people who only own a laptop.

But, I still prefer a desktop computer with an internal graphics card because I mostly use a desktop computer at home.

Seems better to have it on the outside for quick and easy future upgrades.

I agree, having it on the outside is better for easier upgrading, and better cooling options like installing a faster cooling fan for it, so it last longer, and have better overclocking capabilities.

That's pretty good, Sounds expensive since you probably looking at 1000 series also. Still something to keep in minded

Take it this is built to be used with the new USB C technology? Don't think it'd have enough power to run otherwise.

There are models of the Wolfe which uses either Thunderbolt 1, 2 or 3 port according to its Kickstarter site at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/thewolfe/the-wolfe-supercharge-your-laptop . I think the Wolfe is mainly designed for Apple Macbooks because there are fewer Windows laptops with Thunderbolt ports.
