Super Mario 64 was one of the first few game franchise to jump from the 2D side scrolling to full on 3D platforming. With the end result being nothing short of fun and fantastic, the creating team had trouble.

Well, there will always be a few hiccups when trying to create something different. There will always be bumps in the road.....

I can only imagine the headaches they had going from 2D to 3D and all their previous methods of creation no longer usable.

Exactly. At least they've been able to use the 3D stuff for a while now.
