There's no doubt about the popularity of tablets, but to me it always feels like their missing something, whether it be the full desktop experience or the ability to play proper games. So today we attempted to address these issues with $60.

Now laptops are usually the tech of choice for gamers on the go, but what if you want something smaller and way less expensive? Sure we don't expect our sub $100 solution to be up to much, or to keep up with those more expensive PC's but if you just want to play some slightly older or less demanding games and your on a very tight budget , then this may be just what you're looking for.

Tablet Specs:
Connect 8 Tablet
Intel Atom Z3735G Quad Core CPU @ 1.33 Ghz
1GB Ram
32GB Storage
Intel HD Graphics
Windows 10 Home
Price £50 / $60

Games Tested:
Portal
Minecraft
GTA San Andreas
Far Cry 2

Thanks for watching :)

If you are on a very low budget of $60, and mostly play older games, some $60 Windows tablets can be a good option for gaming on a cheap device.

A lot of the games shown in the video seems to run decently for a $60 device.

Older games compatible with Windows 10? That is very surprising for me!

The games the video tester has tested worked on Windows 7 and Vista, and both operating systems are similar to Windows 10 except for the user interface and desktop, so many older games which work in 7 and Vista should work in Windows 10.

Big games like Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, Far Cry 2, Portal, etc also may of released updates for the games to work on Windows 10.

I know plenty of games that worked on Vista but are not compatible with Windows 10 or even 8.1.

It is too bad that some Vista compatible games don't work on Windows 8.1 or 10. Hopefully, the game makers will release a fix to make the games work in 8.1/10.

That's the cost of a new game, a sweet deal really.

I agree it is a pretty sweet deal. It is the same cost as a few older games, or many indie/independent game titles like Goat Simulator made by smaller game makers.

The price of the tablet is also $30 cheaper than buying Windows 10 Home 64bit from a website like Amazon.

Too bad that Windows 10 kind of lacks in the app department.

I agree, Windows 10 app Store lack in the app department.

At least, there are a lot of desktop software and games from Steam, GOG.com, Microsoft, and other companies which work on Windows 10. Users can also play a lot of flash games, web apps and other web browser games and apps online.
