- Dump the level scaling.
I'm not overly fond of the fact that low level mooks, like the Fallen Dreg, can still off a character who's level 40 as easily as if they were still level 1. It doesn't feel like my character has improved at all. And on the flip side my guns don't feel that much more powerful either.
- More gear slots
9 items isn't enough when engrams take up a slot.
- A better inventory system.
The first one was way too limited in that at first you only had like one page of storage space. I don't buy the excuse they gave about the 7th gen holding them back... (There would have been far easier ways to manage an inventory without going how they did. List with stats option would be nice...)
- A way to not render previous gear worthless.
Whenever they released a new update it basically nulled all your old gear and that sucked. You spent time getting good stuff only for it to be wiped out. They were constantly making it so old gear was brought up to the new level... So why then even make it worthless in the first place?
- Do not have microtransactions.
Seriously, dump them. The game costs 60 USD (80CDN) plus DLC costs like 40CDN... So stop being greedy.
- An offline mode.
The shared world aspect was ok, but it'd be nice to just play offline to experience the story or what have you. (Like in cases where the internet is out but you still want to play. Or they're doing updates and their servers are offline...)
- Local co-op.
It'd be nice to be able to have a second guardian on the same system. (For siblings to play together or friends.)
Nailed it! For the engram issue, you should check out the Ishtar Commander app. With one press of a button, every engram you pick up is automatically moved to either storage or any open inventory spot on your other characters. It also works in reverse. I'll typically grind for a couple hours with my engrams going straight to storage, and then I'll reverse it and go see the cryptarch. As long as you have room in your inventory, engrams will come flooding to it. You can also transfer items from one character to another with ease.- Dump the level scaling.

- Decent stack limits.
In this modern era where memory limits are so much less a thing there's no reason why item stacks should ever cap at anything less than 10,000. (I mean going off the database type smallint... it's limit is 32,000 if you use from -32,768 to +32,767 or 65,535 if you only go from 0.) So having item stacks of 200 is absolutely stupid. Currencies should be capped at like 4 billion (longint).

Sad thing is, Bungie didn't even make that app, a fan did. I agree with you on loading times, those were horrendous.I get the concept of why they wanted scaling (to keep challenge consistent), but I don't think it ever helped. If anything it was kinda more aggravating.
The fact they even had to build an app to do that is part of the problem. It was a terrible design decision from the get go that only ever interfered with players.
I think the best way to handle engrams would be either
1- a dedicated page for them in the menu, this way all your engrams get placed there. This way you open the menu and go over to engrams and it'll show you all the ones you've collected so far, sorted by rarity or slot or even class. (If they decide to maybe make some engrams only for Hunters or Titans or whatever.)
2- an extra row or two at bottom of each item category dedicated for engrams. This way they would just stack there when picked up and only take up a full slot once decoded. Again making use of the fact that stacks could go up pretty high.
Also another thing I'd like changed in Destiny 2...
- Improve the loading times.
Going back to the tower takes way too long for what's actually there. (It takes over 60 seconds to get to the tower.) I don't care if they have to go with a simpler loading screen (black screen with a loading icon) rather than a full rendered version of the ship flying through a wormhole if it speeds things up. Especially since the tower is an integral place to the game and players end up going back there frequently. (Wasting time in the process, time that they could be actually playing the game. Time that really adds up... I mean a minute here, minute there... doesn't take long before you've wasted a full hour just waiting for the game. I mean if you have to make 5 trips to the tower to decode engrams... that's 5 minutes right there just spent waiting. )

Which is an even worse situation. Fans had to fix something for Bungie.
Same thing as the "looking for group" system that fans had to make because Bungie didn't want matchmaking in certain modes.
Nah, the tower has a player limit. I think it's 12 or 16. I've had friends not be able to join my fireteam because the tower was "full".I always figured it took forever to load because you were entering a hub of hundreds of internet connections.

Just checked and the tower has a max of 16 players. Not sure about the loading speed for matches, that seems to vary quite a bit.pretty sure there was more than 16 in the tower, but is the tower loading speed any different than loading a match of player vs player?
