Sorry for being a bit late with this and since I'm low on time for tonight lets make this month's contest short and sweet. Since its E3 and I want you to post and post, all I will host this month is a simple posting contest.

Please watch yourself from double posting, I will subtract post count for any double posting that isn't within site rules. If you make a bunch of random short posts I will disqualify you.

Simply post your current post count below and get to posting!

Prizes:

1st place: 1000 GL points
2nd place: 750 GL points
3rd place: 500 GL points
4th place: 250 GL points
5th place: 50 GL points

Special bonus: be the top poster of the month on the side bar widget (meaning you make more posts than me), and you'll win an instant $50 credit via paypal, amazon or a gaming credit service of your choice.

have fun and contest ends July 4th.
 
My last exam is on the 24th of June. That gives me around 11 days to absolutely spam this forum :grin:. My post count is 755
 
Sorry I just saw this, no idea what my post count was on the 12th. Maybe just base it off of top posters for the month?

Hey that's not fair, you're the owner! You shouldn't be included :)

But hey, 2nd place is good too, but I think I should get 1st place. There's like a 50+ gap in score between me and #3, and you're the owner so it's in your priority to make posts/news for the different sub-forums and to manage the site. You shouldn't be included in competitions since you're technically always #1 by default. That basically makes the monthly contest a race for the top 4 instead of top 5 community users, where it's guaranteed that nobody can get the top prize except you. I went back to the previous months' contest winners going back as far as June of 2016. It's always you!

So what's the definition of double posting? I figure it's repeating the same comment over and over again; I'm just here interacting with the community and making conversations by replying to people who are active.

I believe double posting is when you make two comments back to back in the same thread without anybody else's post inbetween.

You pretty much explained it really. Although if you have a topic that you wanted to bump after a while and you are the last poster posting in there it may not always be considered double posting if if bump the topic (with a good reason of course).

I don't comment on the same thread twice (much less in a row) unless I'm replying to someone's comment though. Can't really expect me to wait for another person to comment on the thread before I can post a response to a comment I read earlier. That's messed up in my opinion. A contest encouraging socialization and people commenting and you have to get around past these guidelines unless you want to be disqualified.

I don't think that it is unfair. It makes the competition more interesting, Demon doesn't have to do these contests at all but he wants to do it to reward the users on this forum. Is it fair for him to have to constantly give out prizes every month?

Regarding the double posting, you can clearly see that OursIsTheFury has posted three times in a row without someone else responding: Favorite movie that came out in 2017?

Thank you for pointing that out, I didn't even think to check his profile. And if I remember I think it even in the forum rules anyway.
