E3 Core Pokemon RPG coming to Switch (Late 2018??)

I forgot. Dang it. And I bought those two games too. Yeah so a D/P/PT remake is probably in the works. Wonder if they'll ever remake Gen I for the 3DS.
I wish they would. Then they could have trainers with Alolan versions of Kanto Pokemon like how in SM they had normal versions. I also wished that you could go in Kanto in Gen 7, so maybe in US/UM Kanto is a post game thing since they talked about it so much throughout the game.

I am beyond hyped about this! When they were first mentioning the new Pokemon for Nintendo Switch I wasn't sure if it would be some sort of 3D remake or a proper core Pokemon game. I am so happy that it's the latter.

I've been playing every Pokemon since the blue and red versions that I had on my old Gameboy. Anybody remembers those? The only ones that I skipped were the Pokemon Emerald and Firered/Leafgreen. I still have the old DS versions of Pokemon Diamond and SoulSilver.

I don't know why but I just love the whole franchise and I really do have high hopes for this new GEN that they will release. I want to be blown away!

Pokemon has a large fanbase and of course they (including me) would love an RPG based game about it. I think the Pokemon games have run its course with the whole starter, train, level up, Pokemon League, etc; I think they've made enough that the games are more of a chore rather than a game of discovery. They also added tons of new names every release, and it's hard to catch up for those who only have a few gaming hours to spare. It's a game that you have to obsess over; last time I heard they have these things called EV training or whatever. In my day, a dragon type can kill anything. Now it's not the case anymore.

Imagination is running wild. Really excited to just see some gameplay. I've wanted a proper Pokemon game for a long time to appear on consoles. Enjoyed the old Stadium and Colosseum games but they're not the same.
I honestly would like a Pokemon game that's not dependent on the rock-paper-scissor mechanic that the Pokemon games use. How about actual battles and all that? It's just getting a team of varying types, making sure they at least have one skill that can be super effective or at least damanging to any opponent that will pass their way. That's why I got bored a bit after playing the Sapphire-Ruby-Emerald version. And they even released a remaster of those games, now with new gameplay mechanics added like mega evolution and all that. It's still water beats fire though, so it gets boring and dull after a while.

I sold my soul to Nintendo long time ago so let me tell you that I both love and hate them.

I love that they're giving me more Pokemon. I hate how they're edging us and teasing us with all this information that doesn't reveal anything concrete. I'm imagining a million possibilities and I'm getting hype for something I don't even know what might be!

This is creating a lot of expectation and that is both an incredible marketing strategy, and a double edged sword, should the actual game fail to meet the high expectations we're starting to have.

What it DID was convince me to keep saving up money for that Switch ASAP. Seriously, Nintendo is powerful and they're marketing geniuses. My mind won't stop overthinking.

I'm excited for it, but not as excited as I could be. I mean, yeah they announced it, but I wish they gave it a name or a little footage.
They were kinda vague about it. It's marketing to get the consumer base more pumped, understandably. I do shrug a bit at their actions, but what can you do?

I'm not getting my hopes up yet, until I see some pictures or teasers of what it would be like. I can't imagine how will they do it. Guess I'll have to wait.
