It's a new month! Anyone feeling like their gaming backlog is becoming endless? And new updates on the GL forum.

Welcome everyone to the tenth update of the year, 2017 is starting to come to a close as the weather turns chilly here in the states. We have a few bits and pieces of news for this update so lets get into it with....

---- Of the Month ----

Congrats to froggyboy604 froggyboy604 once more for becoming member of the month by posting continuous great tech related posts in and out of the tech board. Keep it up!

Topic of the month goes to:

How old are you?

--- Forum Update ---

Just a brief update on the forum software, I updated the software to patch any issues with it though I forgot it has to be done a certain way and left the forum slightly unstable the other night, sorry for any inconvenience but it was taken care of quickly.

In other forum news, as suggested by a member I've decided to pull a Nintendo and merge the Nintendo mobile forum into the main Nintendo console forum. They are now just one board with all the right prefixs to use on your future posts.

--- Blog Update ---

Hey have you heard? CM30 CM30 is hard at work revamping the Gaming Reinvented blog. The changes to come are sure to make it even better.

As a reminder we are always looking for new writers to post a general course of gaming related topics on the blog (which will be reflected on the forum for easy discussion). If you know anybody wanting to write about games or further their career as a gaming journalist, please send them our way.

---Contest---

The long contest is now over and I will have the winners announced this weekend (pending how I do on my homework load x_x), I will however not be holding a contest for October (there will still be the usual arcade one) and I think I'll settle on one final contest for this year for both November and December.

Look forward to it folks.

--- Need a gaming laptop? ---

So this is a bit of a shameless cheap advertising, but I will soon be selling my one year old gaming laptop which normally retails for 1400 USD and I'll be selling it for 800-1000 USD. If anyone is interested or you know someone that might be, PM me for more details otherwise I'll post a more detailed topic this weekend.

That's it for this update folks, thanks for being active as always. I wish everyone who celebrates Halloween a safe and happy scary month and be careful out there and what candy you eat!

---- Stats ----

We currently have 370,573 posts which in this past month we've made 1,044 posts. We currently have 6,812 members and in the last month we've gotten 10 new members!

Congrats froggy. Looking forward to the new look Gaming Reinvented blog as well :)

Any reason you are selling your laptop?

Super busy this past month, don't think I've even touched a game really.

The battery died and had to ship it off to repair, since I have online classes I just got a new one that is actually a lot thinner than the one I'm selling. so at this point I figured I sell it off and balance the payment for the new one.

Same as well, I should be done with Yooka laylee right now but still working on it.

Guess my month of fame is over.
But why is this an update from 9 June instead of 6 October?

Actually it's September 6. I thought it was weird too, but it's probably just an error.

Writing this at 1 AM after a long day is a mistake in itself ^^;

I actually read "9/6" as "9 June", "10/5" as "10 May", etc., because it's the order I'm used to.
But it's not your fault, I tend to forget that Americans do MM/DD/YYYY, since over here we do DD-MM-YYYY.
Though Japan does YYYY年MM月DD日, which is quite convenient for filenames in large directories or in databases.

we seriously need a unified monthly dating system. Who can tell the difference between MM/DD/YYYY and DD-MM-YYYY?
