YouTubers you stopped watching

I used to watch OriginalBloodAce back in the day.

He's a very interesting person, to say the least...

At least until he was caught with child porn files. lol

He will not be missed! :unamused:

Ayre said, of the 12,957 images and 250 videos of child pornography they found while examining Tulloch’s electronics. Of those, she said 11,000 images and 244 of the videos were graphic, while another 2,000 images and six videos were less graphic.
Oh, that's quite a collection then.
Never heard of this guy though.

He was well known for making Miiverse videos online.

They make a lot of viewers and most likely a lot of cash for this sad sack of failure. lol

JonTron after his racist commentary

Oh, got another one.

Game Theory. Used to watch their videos quite a bit, but now they just make clickbait crap for easy views. Honestly, if there's one channel that kind of sums up 'modern' YouTube and all its flaws really easily, it's that one.
I still watch Game Theory but I have noticed the videos are now basically advertisements for whatever sponsor he has this time. I don't know for how long I'll continue watching it.

JonTron was always racist. I knew it from a mile away long before his now infamous racist commentary.

I didn't watch the full video, but I don't think what Jon said was racist. He was just saying it's okay to be white and to have white culture like how it's okay to have black culture, Asian culture, Irish culture, etc. I mean, I'm personally tired of being told I'm the bad guy just because I'm a white male. I'm also tired of being told I should feel guilty for slavery when I wasn't even around back then. There were a few things I disagreed with, like how he said white people shouldn't be a minority in America, but I couldn't finish the video so I don't know what else was said. I just couldn't stand the guy giving the interview. He was annoying and he tried to act smart, but one of the first things he said was, "America is a European nation," or something like that. Yeah, tell that to all the Native Americans. They totally weren't here first or anything.

This whole racism thing is a double standard over a double standard really.
  1. In white communities, you're expected to respect any other community, all while the others won't respect you.
  2. Especially in America and western Europe, it's considered "racist" if you criticise Jewish people, Muslims to some extend, and black people, but being hateful to Russians and far-east Asians is apparently A-OK.
  3. If you as a white person try to mimic an Asian or Latino culture, you'll be called out for being a "racist" from all around you. However, Asians and Latinos actually appreciate it when others show their joy for their cultures (though I don't mimic the Japanese people, I can say they really love me for being able to speak Japanese, despite not being one and living in a far away place from them).

Yeah, the double standards and stuff are ridiculous.

Back to the topic, well a few more I've stopped watching (not counting those who simply stopped making videos):

  • Any of the old school ROM hack LPers like ProtonJon, AzureBlade49, etc. Honestly, playing those mods was the one thing that made them stand out from the legions of others playing games on YouTube, and when they switched away to more mainstream games, they really weren't much more interesting than any other typical Let's Play creator.
  • Retsupurae. Again, I loved their old work, and I really liked their Kickstarter videos too, but their random game playthroughs just don't interest me in the slightest.
  • Player Essence. Used to like their website, but since becoming a YouTube creator full time, it seems their videos are just the standard gaming news stuff in a format that's 100 times less convenient than plain text. Also feel they lost a bit of their edge in recent years.
  • Ashens. Such a weird choice here, since I still enjoy his videos whenever I watch them. I just can't get myself to watch any of them any more. Maybe I just got bored of the topic.
  • Nintendo Beyond/The Bit Block. Oh god. This guy had some great content in the olden days, but now it just seems to be complaints about Nintendo games mixed with the odd interesting video.
  • GameXplain is another one I stopped watching. Probably because they post too much content now, and much of it is just them trying to capitalise on whatever random thing someone on Reddit/Twitter found this week.
I guess there's also raocow, but that's not so much me 'not watching their videos any longer' as much as it is 'not watching their videos until they play a game I haven't already beaten'. Feel the channel was best when it focused on the obscure stuff I'd never have known where to find.

I still like Proton Jon. At least when he uploads... At least I can get my fill from TRG. I just unsubbed from AzureBlade49 because he hasn't done anything in like forever besides uploading saying when he's streaming.

I also recently stopped watching Retsupurae for the same reason. I love their old stuff, but I feel like it started going down hill sometime after Dark Seed 2. Like, that was the height of their comedy and there was no way to top it. I mean, I still liked watching I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream and Harvester, but I never cared for the Kickstarter Nonstarter/Indie No Go series. Though, I did like when they were making fun of those weird Youtube Mickey Mouse cartoons.

KSI. Liked him when I was younger but his content has become absolute crap recently. Barely even posts anymore to be fair
