Bad news for those of you who are coming up on their 1 year anniversary of owning a Switch, and most likely putting in more time than you will ever admit to playing Zelda Breath of the Wild, Though it appears after a year's time, the Switch will reset all time played dates on games.

Nintendo has stated the following:

“Some Nintendo Switch owners’ play activity information is displaying incorrectly. We are aware of the issue and we expect to have more information to share in the near future.”

Somehow Nintendo did not debug the Switch to endure a neo Y2K.

Noooooooo! My 250 hours in BotW. T_T I know the data won't go, but still.

Huh, didn't know about this bug. Can you test it out early by changing the system clock?

most likely will trigger this.

Either don't turn it on till an update fix is done or change your time back away from the one year date.

Nope, it was too late. All 250 hours are gone. I guess Nintendo is going to fix it, but still. It's sad.

or a good thing? I would hate to admit spending over 250 hours on a game, despite the fact I put a good full year into playing Final Fantasy 7 and 9.
Nah, I was pretty proud of that. I don't think I've ever spend so much time on a game since I was in high school. It felt great.

*coughnolifecough*

Did you complete it all though with so many hours?
Well, I wasn't working at the time so I had all the time in the world.

I beat all the main quests and all the shrines. I've also beaten all of the DLC. I didn't get all the Korok seeds because I looked up the reward. It was not worth it.

I do feel bad for anyone who gathers all the seeds to be honest.
