Digital games are pretty convenient for people who don't want to deal with discs, the major drawback though is that once you buy it, there is little chance of getting any money back should you grow bored with it or encounter issues.

Kotaku put the following guide together which is worth checking out.

This is a good guide.

I think one of the advantages of Physical games is that they maybe easier to return if you bought the wrong game.

Yeah its one of the negatives. I like Steam where they will allow refunds if you have played less than a couple hours. Console stores should allow something similar.

You don't get much back for physical copies anyway. When a game gets to be even only one month old it goes to $15. Most of the time I get $7 for a game that is resold for $35.

I prefer physical copies still because of two main reasons. There is this super hip chick who works at ebgames that I'm stuck on and I like to have that giant game display. Makes me feel well off.

It's still something back though. Plus if you sell it on ebay you do manage to get something decent back.

1. I'm not gong through the trouble of packing and shipping something for $10.

2. often I run out of reasons to go to ebgames to see that girl I like and it makes me overspend. This gives me an excuse.

That's why I ship in bulk when doing ebay, so that I'm not wasting my time on one thing.

Why not go there to just visit her? She might be flattered.

If you use Steam, you can get a refund on your purchase if you played the game less than 2 hours.

I have never used that feature by the way.

I've used the feature a few times and it worked well. Last time I did this I had everything sorted in like 24 hours :)

Here my local store do not have the refund thing. I do not buy digital games (maybe some indie) because of the slow and capped internet. One time in my local game store they explained me that they had to open the game to check if the disc is damage or have a scratch. If there is an issue, they can change it immediately. But they said if I leave the store, they cannot issue a refund or replacement if there are missing disc or damages.
