Anyone here know of some good Direct download anime sites? the one I've been using just removed nearly all their popular series and the staff have gave no explanation. So I guess it's a april fools joke gone wrong or they got hit with a DCMA. Either way, time to move on.
 
I used gogoanime before but now it's not working.
I am not so sure if it's just me that's facing this issue or not. The video downloader professional doesn't work .....well, even the player itself isn't working. Now, I use kiss anime with downloader professional plugin but the size of the files are too big.

You can dl at compressed/encoded anime at 720p and 1080p. But the thing is the sound is only on 80-100kbps. But the good side is if they have bluray ver, it's mostly available for dl. Those are compressed and encoded so expect 70mb-300mb per 1080p/720p.

You can try horriblesubs.info they do most of the shows from every season and its a simple site with a toxic and funny chat.
 
Horrible isnt the best, but one of the very active fansub group.

Coal girls (Their sizes is almost 1 gb per 1 episode)
Horriblesubs sometimes just copying subtitles from other sources.

Horrible subs is not a fan-sub they rip from other sources and upload on their site. Its a convenient and light site.

Has an Anime Radio, Meme and YOUTUBE Vloggers talking about Japan and Anime stuff. They also have a notice to support creators so Amazon, Hulu, Crunchyroll etc)
