Not really, most deals are over hyped and the good ones are gone in seconds.
I don't go shopping on Black Friday. I'm normally working on Black Friday to begin with, however, if by some chance I get that day off then I don't leave the house unless I have to. Plus, I've got all my Christmas shopping done already for this year anyway because I normally do my Christmas shopping early. I like Christmas but I don't like fighting with the holiday shopping crowds. I also agree with D_S, I think most deals are over hyped and any good deals would be gone by the time I can get my hands on them.

I don't even have my schedule for Black Friday and I can already tell you with 100% certainty that I'll be working on Black Friday. So, I feel your pain, D_S.
Thankfully I have the closing shift, so it won't be too bad. Just a lot of cleanup and dealing with customers who are ready for bed.
I'll probably get the early morning shift. That big rush always comes in first thing in the morning. Some of those people are probably read for bed already because they've pulled an all-nighter somewhere else and will probably be ready for bed by the time they get to me.
shoot for the night shift, its mainly easy cleanup.
I wish I could but I doubt I'll get that shift, even if I ask for it. The store will be busier when they open up in the morning because of all the people trying to be the first one in the door to get the deals that they want and I'm the only person in my department.
Just as long as you're not the guy opening the door.
I won't be the person opening the door but I'll be in the department that a lot of the people will rush to once the doors are opened.

No. I work in a farm and ranch store. I work in the sporting goods department and it's usually one of the busiest (if not THE busiest department) in the store.
that sucks.
Yeah, but at least Black Friday is over with now. I can breath a sigh of relief now.
still have a few weeks of holiday shopping left though.
