It really sucks to live in my area right now, we just got our second 5 inch snow storm in a week's time and now the high temps for the next two days will around -20 if not colder.

I hate winter...

Hopefully, the weather does not get any colder, and the government makes sure the roads are sidewalks are safe to use since a lot of vehicles and workers like fire trucks, and fire fighters still need to respond to emergencies like a house fire.

Oh....i am sorry to hear that... But how I wish I could live in someplace like that. It's my dream to live in a snowy place but i would probably get bored of it pretty soon . In my life I have never seen actual natural snowfall

Tomorrow night it is supposed to get a low of -35 degrees.

Snow is great when you're a kid (no school, sledding/skiing/skating, etc...) but once you get a bit older it's not so much fun. It piles up everywhere, has to be dealt with either by shovelling/plowing or using a snowblower. Shovelling is cheapest but highly labour intensive. Plowing can be expensive if you have to pay someone each time to do it. Using a snowblower is somewhat labour intensive (depending on if the wheels are powered by the engine too or only the blower is) and it costs a bit to buy a snowblower plus the fuel and oil to run it (still cheaper in the long run than plowing though). Kinda hard to get excited for it when you realise that you're going to have to go out and spend the next hour or two (possibly more depending on the amount) shovelling or blowing it out of the way.

Trying to drive in slushy/icy conditions is bad. Especially when other people don't want to slow down. They want to rush along at normal dry summer road conditions... not at icy winter speeds they should go at. (People tend to forget that in icy conditions it takes much longer to come to a stop. Plus if there's a lot of ice, suddenly jamming on the brakes might actually cause you to lose control and collide.) And if someone is stupid and has summer tires on... they are most assuredly ending up in the ditch or crashing into someone's vehicle.

Don't get me wrong, the first snowfall of the year is kinda exciting. But after that? yeah, you do very quickly lose excitement after you've seen it a few times. Unless you really love winter sports like sledding or skiing.

When I was a kid, I always wished for snow days. Now, I hate them because there is no such thing as snow days at work. I still have to go to work regardless of what the weather is.

Hopefully, most people in colder places are prepared for the -35 degree temperatures, and have an electric heater to use if their home heater broke, and the homeless have somewhere to live, so they don't freeze.

The temperature is -17 degrees Fahrenheit while the wind chill is -42(!) degrees Fahrenheit! That is COLD!

Yikes. It doesn't get that cold where I live but it's pretty cold here (or what is consider cold for this region. I'm going to have to bundle up if I get out today.
