So its that time of year in the states, requirement to file your taxes. Anyone hoping/expecting a huge refund this year?

My hubby and I normally get back a decent refund each year. This year is no different. We always have the maximum amount of taxes taken out during the course of the year so we end up getting some of that back. We may not get back as much as some other people but we get back a pretty good amount.
I'm hoping to get a decent amount back myself.
There are some changes to tax this year but not all that much.

My hubby and I had our taxes done this past week. We didn't get back as much as last year but we still got back a pretty good amount.
I learned there is a lot of changing factors that most aren't aware of.

I lose about 20% of my pay to taxes alone. And then I lose a bit more to Unemployment Insurance (in case I ever lose my job or my job's hours get cut WAY back) and Canada Pension Plan.
All said and done I lose about 30% of my pay.
I hope to get some money back this year as I've paid in a lot. But I won't know for sure until a bit later when I actually file my taxes.
