Have you noticed that many anime involve Tokyo City? Aaaand it's a beautiful city. I do agree that you will get almost anything in Tokyo but it would be nice if we could get familiar with other parts of Japan through anime. Don't you guys feel the same?

In Japan Tokyo is prefecture, not city.
In overseas Tokyo is capital city.

I think all foreign tourist only see cities of Tokyo Bay.
I live 10 minute of train distance from Tokyo. w

I mean, I could name shows/films that take place in other parts of Japan. Even in America, damn near everything used to be filmed in LA, even if it “took place” somewhere else. Now people have probably seen half the Atlanta metro area thanks to movies.

The Tokyo metro area is enormous, and just going by population percentage, a ton of people live there. Also people usually write about places they’re familiar with, so they just write about living in Tokyo.

When I lived in the UK, a lot of shows just magically took place in London. I think in smaller countries, they’re just going to have their media take place in their biggest city, as that’s where a huge chunk of the population is centered around. Even in America where there’s a decentralized population, a lot of stuff takes place in Chicago, New York, or LA, the biggest cities.

Wow that's great.
You could get anything from Tokyo from what I have heard and the same goes to some Akihbara place as well.

Akihabara is neighborhood of Chiyoda City in Tokyo. (´・ω・`)
Oh. I was told that we could get so much anime stuff from that place. I truly envy you suwako Chan.. .. but then again if I live in Japan, I will be dead broke all the time, as I would keep purchasing anime merchandise all the time.... :sigh:

There is Akihabara train station between home and work, so I can travel without cost. (´・ω・`)

Also, please watch:
