It's really a great movie. I never noticed how re-watching can be really good at times.

Anyway, it's kinda sad at the end, but all in all it's good . Do you guys know any other series or movies, that resemble sword of the stranger?

If so, do recommend them to me

never heard of it, but I'll check it out.

It's a Ps4 game and not an anime movie but Yakuza Ishin has a great Samurai story with historical characters with great graphics like Yakuza Kiwami 2 (and "parallel characters" with Yakuza kiwami 2, Kiryu is Ishin's MC Sakamoto Ryōma and Kaoru is Narasaki Ryō also his love interest in this one but in feudal japan lol), been wanting to play it but alas it's in Japanese, I hope Sega will localize it eventually...

Wow....I really hope there isn't an ending for he dies.
I didn't like the anime movie ending, because of that.

After the final battle before the credits roll yes (he "dies") then a happy ending twist after the credits roll, he lives complete with the hero getting the girl that he loves (kaoru) lol something like Yakuza Kiwami 2's (same director and team) ending of my gameplay that I recorded not too long ago:

Really, can you give me a preview plot of it?

Fan translated Official story preview of Yakuza Ishin:

Set in the chaotic Bakumatsu period, Sakamoto Ryōma is distressed resulting from conflicting pressures and uncertainty about one's self and role in the society. Being embroiled in the middle of a Tosa coup d'etat and bent on finding the murderer who assassinated his mentor, Ryoma burrows himself with a hidden identity in the streets of Kyoto and joins the grim Shinsengumi.
