In the link and video above, it shows what the E3 planners are thinking about E3 2020 and it could be trouble especially for journalist who go there to cover news. This is all thanks to Cyberpunk 2077 reveal in which Keanu Reeves came on stage creating a lot of hype and E3 wants more of that hype for next year with more guests and celebrities who can generate that.
 
As long as the games don't drop in quality, I don't think it's that big of an issue. It might actually help the E3 grow to be bigger than it currently is, and more and more news publications will be interested in/covering it. More coverage means more sales for developers. And as long as they care about their games and their fans, that means more money going into development.
