I have a question I would like to ask the community here.

I've written a couple of short stories and I've been thinking about getting them published and selling them.

First of all, would any of you be interested in reading them? They are kind on the border line between suspense/thriller and horror, without going into too much detail.

Secondly, which of the following would you rather do.....
- Would you rather read them as an e-book on your tablet/e-reader?
- Or would you rather I publish them on my blog and you read them from there?

How do you charge money for it on a blog? I'd expect readers would be interested in seeing it as a product, but if it's in a blog it would only be a blurb and then you could do both.

Publishing on your blog would help get more traffic there plus it'd be easier than people having to read it on one site & if they want to comment, would have to go to the original site.
Do you have a synopsis of the stories?

I love these genre suspense/thriller and horror do blog publication first maybe then you can grab attention on other people

I would say both. But not sure how it would be done on the blog. Have to think about that for a bit and come up with a plan.

I could do a couple of things. I could offer a membership on my blog and one of the perks of this membership would be getting to read the short stories I have (among other perks). Or I could set it up where I turn the short stories into an e-book and sell the e-book on my blog.

Whatever you feel is the best.

Yeah, I'm still debating which I want to do. I had originally planned on publishing the short stories on my blog and so I think it do well that way.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I thought publishing my short stories on my blog might help get more activity on my blog. I haven't written out a synopsis yet.

I'm kind of liking this idea.

Edit: Oh, by the way, I've submitted my first short story to the U. S. Copyright Office and I've officially received my "Certificate of Registration" today for it.

I submitted my second short story today to the U. S. Copyright Office. Just have to wait to hear back on that one......

Sounds like either way would work.

I had originally intended on publishing them on my blog. The way they are written, I think publishing bits and pieces of it at a time would draw more attention to my blog.

But I thought the short stories would sell better if I published them as an e-book.

Maybe I can do both....? Maybe if people are willing to pay for a membership on my blog, maybe they'll be able to read the short stories prior to them being sold as an e-book? Or maybe the price of the membership will cover the person receiving their own e-book copy of the short stories?

I'm always fond of polls. If forums allow it, set up a poll & ask members what they would like. Can be hypothetical or be personal with your stories.
