Konnichiha! (Good day, mortals!)
I found this wonderful oasis while poking around yet another site I frequent, and noticed my favorite keyword: anime. So, I checked it out, found some posts I want to reply to, and maybe, just maybe, I'll finally find some friends! But first, here's a little dirt on who in the heck is this guy?
First, not a guy, gal, actually. I'm nearing the ancient sagely age of 50 this year. OMG! Shh! you're not supposed to know that top secreted [redacted] info!. Secondly, you'll probably notice that I'm insane, crazy, baka, and just a generally fun person to hang with. Third, I do have an extremely basic understanding of Japanese, like pre-elementary level. I know like, between five and a hundred words? Fourth, I love anime. And Role playing. And combining the two. And writing fan-fiction, specifically cross-overs that involve lots of chaos and destruction that leads to world domination! (Fictitiously, of course. And the reality of the world is in such a state of utter totally lost chaos, that I have no hopes of bringing it any salvation myself. Completely powerless to do so, even if I wanted to!). As a matter of fact, I'm so unhinged right this very instant, because over the last few days I've been re-watching Excel Saga! And, it kinda bled into my personality programming... anyway, moving on!
I'm a geek. I like tinkering with technology, write computer scripts in a variety of programming languages, I have my own web space (insert shameless [redacted] plug) for those of you who are interested in ancient crap like me. I already mentioned my fondness for creativity, love of writing, and admiration and sole loyalty to my Anime Goddesses Club (oops, [redacted]), furthermore, I enjoy collaborative story-telling (also known as Role Playing). I'm actually a bit of an oddball, where I seem to have this impulse of purchasing a game, and then it sits on my digital bookshelf for eons while I wait for the perfect opportunity and right candidates to play an awesomely galactic adventure with-- only for it to never happen. So, yeah, I've got like 30 games, most of them are old. Like me.
Outside of the fictional realm, I'm just an overly exploited warehouse worker/cashier/supervisor/parking lot orderly/say-something-[redacted]-here, who's barely treading financial waters! I love 80s Pop/Rock, Classic Rock, J-POP (duh), Techno, Classical, Oldies, EDM, etc. I'm not too picky, but I do like a good soundtrack with a movin' beat. Most of my favorite songs come from anime OPs, like Happy Material, Eternal Blaze, I'm a Pioneer, Area-Complete: Perfect, but also I adore Queen, some Elton John, and Pat Benetar, among others. And I can't forget some of the wacky stuff, like Cause I'm a Blond, or songs to play when... I'm in a mood, like, I'm So Mad Lately. (Bonus, [redacted] points if anybody can see where I got my screen-name from!)
So now that I'm totally out of breath (which has absolutely nothing to do with my fingers being cramped from all this typing), I'll go run off now and play with some fictitious explosives-- as I fall down a [redacted] manhole.
