Which Game is Good for Kids: Roblox or Minecraft?

Minecraft and Roblox both are considered good games for kids, especially kids above the age of 7. Well, these games are also good for kids above 7 years as well as adults, but these games are considered very safe for kids. Between Roblox and Minecraft, which game would you recommend to kids? I think Roblox is better than Minecraft for kids.
 
I feel Roblox is better than Minecraft for kids because there is more activities to do in Roblox like playing a racing game in Roblox, and first person shooter Roblox game. Roblox graphics also look more colorful and fun for kids.
 
Neither, throw Mario or Sonic at them.
 
Based on my experience, Both Minecraft and Roblox are popular choices for the kids,
 
One major problems I see with Roblox for kids is they might end up spending a lot of money buying Robux. Roblox with variations seem to be better option but I feel Minecraft is a safer option.

yes, I completely agree with you. Minecraft is a safer option for kids because my children play it too. I like the fact that it's a more creative and educational game.
 
If you have kids that are obsessed with Roblox, you need to set limits on their spending because it might get out of control. Minecraft is much more preferable.
 
The most important thing is that Minecraft encourages more independent play which is not on Roblox which focused more on socializing and interacting with others. Minecraft is good for the kids.
 
This topic had it's last post in 2024, and that's a tad too old to be posting in this day and age! I will have to close this discussion as per rule 11! If you want to talk about whether Minecraft or Roblox (correct answer: Minecraft) is good for kids, then please create a new topic on it!

I feel that we should abolish this rule though, since the above post was relevant to the topic at hand, and because everyone is abandoning forums in favor of discord which threatens their existence, I'd take any post we can get! But hey, rules are rules!

If another Administrator wants to re-open this topic for whatever reason, then they can do so!
