Amazon's East-1 bucket went down today, with it taking a good amount of the internet with it from game services, reddit, to snapchat. At this time, Amazon seems to be finally restoring their services, but nearly 24 hours downtime is not a good look for their cloud services.

Not sure if it affected forum emails today, since we use AWS but I think we were fine.
 
I suppose it was a boring day for Amazon workers on Monday lol, I would hate to have to stand around and do nothing at work for hours. If they let them sit down that's a different story but I highly doubt they got to sit.

I highly doubt AWS going down meant they were sitting around doing nothing. They were scrambling to get it back up.

Thousands of users are reporting problems with Microsoft and Amazon Web Services on Wednesday, days after a widespread outage disrupted platforms across the internet.

Monitoring site Downdetector showed a spike of about 20,000 users reporting problems with Microsoft's Azure and 365.


“We are investigating an issue with the Azure Portal where customers may be experiencing issues accessing the portal,” Azure said on its status page.

Users may be unable to access the Microsoft 365 admin centre and face delays when accessing other services, it said on its status page. Users are also facing issues with add-ins and network connectivity in Outlook.

Downdetector also showed more than 6,000 people reporting issues with Amazon Web Services, but the tech giant said its systems were functioning properly.


“AWS is operating normally. The only resource on the internet that provides accurate data on the availability of our services is the AWS Health Dashboard," an AWS representative told The National.

Last week, a large AWS outage caused havoc across the internet.

The warehouse workers couldn't do anything when AWS were down lol, I guess I left the warehouse part out of my previous post though that's my bad. But seeing that it went down again last Wednesday is crazy lol.
