When I have that problem I test my team (without the member who needs the item) on random matchup. Each win gets 1 point, so its not too bad. Alternatively, when trying to get points fast, the place south of Driftveil in B/W 2 gives out loads if you win a leader's tournament.

this is in black, not B2, plus i can't test against a ghost team in random matchup. also, hackers.
