I have a 3DS XL and that's never happened to me, and I don't see why it would.

mine has a few issues even after a replacement.. but the bigger screen is nice..

Really? So no problem with pixelation? It doesn't look weird at all? Hmmm... Then I guess I don't really have anything to worry about if I upgrade lol Oh, and for the audio, is it still not as loud as the original if you put earbuds in it?

Depends on the earbuds quality, just as it would with anything else you attach an ear bud to.

i don't have a regular 3ds to compare to but my 3DSXL is kinda pixelated when i use the 3D

Well 3DS games are pixelated to begin with. They aren't very smooth, so pumping up the 3d really brings that out. But it does it no more than the original 3ds does.
