I recently purchased and beat it. got it for $3.73 after tax from Game Stop. The game was great. Storyline was a but too over-dramatic for most people's liking and there are some things about the gameplay I found atrocious such as the missile use and HP recovery. Other than that, it was one of my fave Metroids to date.

NintenDan did a review on this forum of it or I woulda done one. :/

It was very simple compared to the other games and with a poor plot that contradicts characterizations in other games. Otherwise, not too bad.

It didn't contradict anything at all. Play through Fusion again and tell me where it contradicts, please. Fusion even spoke of the events in Other M despite fusion being developed 8 years prior to Other M.

I loved Fusion. It's my favourite Metroid, and I think I can remember pretty much all the story. Maybe another playthrough would be good?

Fusion is my fave as well and she constantly whines about Adam in it almost as much as in Other M. Basically, Other M lets you see the full story mentioned in Fusion.

Oh and you'll see a boss or two from Fusion re-occuring in Other M. One in particular you are going to be like NO WAY!

Fusion had some great bosses! I doubt it'll be the Nightmare as much as I want it to be, and the Serris Spider was pretty cool too. It may be the first Serris though... Don't tell me which!

Don't worry, I won't spoil it. :3 Just trust me when I say you will love the game's story other than possibly the "too-much-drama". The game plays like a Mario 64 with a blaster - to quote Porkman, who said it best. But it has a LOT of REALLY GOOD FMV sequences much like the Xenosaga series did.

I meant to get the Wii one, but I never got round to it. It's one of those games I'll buy if I see it cheap, like I did with Other M.

Wii one? Oh you mean XenoBlade? That has nothing to do with Gears or Saga. XenoBlade gets its name because the creator of the Gears / Saga series created the game XenoBlade without a working title and the developers gave it the Xeno label in his honor during development and the name stuck.

Oh ok. I didn't look into it that much. In my head I grouped it with The Last Story and Pandora's Tower (all on the aforementioned list).

XenoGears was an amazing game made for the PSX and when you beat it, it says "END: CHAPTER V". years later the creator wanted to go back and make the first 4 parts but Square Enix said no. so what he did was make the first 3 as XenoSaga and declare "I am not allowed to make a prequel so we shall SAY it isn't a prequel". Basically, he declared it an unofficially announced official prequel lol

As for XenoBlade - I keep forgetting to pick that up. I heard it is the best Wii game to date. As for Other M. Keep me posted when you get it as to what you think of it whilst playing. Spam my PM box if need be. I had mixed feelings for stuff while playing it until I beat it.

That's awesome. Maybe I'll look into them some more in the future. There are a lot of games which I hope to play someday though (Chrono Cross, FFV, ,VI ,VII and IX XenoSaga/Gear, the list goes on). I hope I can play all of them some day!

Chrono Cross? don't bother. Save yourself the time and trouble. I have beaten that game numerous times in my life and can honestly say I can't play it to this day. (I actually gave it away for free to a guy who was talking about it at a game store.) It was only so-so even for its time.
