1 Million PS4 Sales in 24 hours

Via Twitter, Sony has announced that PS4 sold 1 million units in 24 hour span.


Sony wants it's sale number to be at 3 million by the end of the year and with the sale numbers thus far from North America only, it's possible this will be achieved.

Does the 24 hour sale include pre-orders from many months ago where some people paid earlier to pick up their console at stores, or online?
