10 Million Kinects

Microsoft today announced it has now shipped 10 million Kinect units worldwide to retailers - not sold to consumers - since launch in November. The company also said it shipped over 10 million Kinect first and third-party software titles to date.

A Microsoft spokesperson told IGN the shipped number is in line with how the company reported the 8 million units shipped in January.

Last month, Microsoft unveiled several new Kinect titles set for release this year, including The Gunstringer and Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster. Microsoft made a promise to IGN that fans can expect to hear additional announcements at E3 in June, including the unveiling of Kinect: Star Wars.

Title is misleading. 10 million SHIPPED. And I'm not going to be biased anymore; DS, you should try that. :rolleyes: Though I do strongly dislike the Kinect due to lack of good games... Until Gears of War 3! >;D

Microsoft is just saying that they shipped that much like you said but they probably only sold about 2/3's of those kinects.

They recently broke a Guinness World Record for the Kinect's selling progress.
