Video Games Live, the orchestra that plays the music from video games, is scheduled to take part in a huge concert soon. If all goes according to plan, on February 20, 100,000 people will show up at the Chiang-Kai Shek Memorial in South Korea to hear Video Games Live perform in the opening ceremony at the annual Taiwan International Music Festival. As far as we know, this is the biggest crowd ever gathered for a video game concert.
Video Games Live plans to add synchronized fireworks to their usual multimedia extravaganza of video, rock-n-roll lighting, special effect, soloists, stage show production and interactive elements with the crowd.
Veteran game composer and Video Games Live co-creator and host Tommy Tallarico said, “What a great honor for us to be asked by the Taiwan government to be a part of such a revered and time honored event."
