So it was a bit of a shock at the end of last week when we got the latest sales figures and discovered that the 2,000,000th Raspberry Pi was sold in the last week of October. We don’t know who owns it – if you bought one between October 24 and October 31st, it might be yours. (It could even be the one we gave to Prince Andrew when he visited on Halloween.)

Raspberry Pi selling 2 million $25-35 mini PCs prove that people want to buy mini pcs which are cheap compared to heavy, expensive, and overly powerful PCs which they don't need because a cheaper and slower Linux based PC is good enough for word processing, browsing the web, watching video, listening to music, coding php and html, and playing retro games.

This also proves that as long as a PC is cheap in the $25-35 price range, people are willing to give Linux a try, and learn how to use it for their computing needs like Office work, e-mail, watching video, listening to music, and playing retro games.

Congrats to Raspberry Pi for selling 2 Million cheap PCs.
