“Alpha, Rita’s escaped! Recruit a team of teenagers with attitude!”
Nearly two full decades after those faithful words were said in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise has remained remarkably durable.

At San Diego Comic-Con next month, multiple generations of fans can celebrate next year's 20th anniversary of the series at the “Power Rangers: 20 Years and Beyond” panel. The panel will feature Elie Dekel (President of Saban Brands), actor Paul Schrier (“Bulk”), writer and supervising producer Tony Oliver (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), as well as other key talent and members of the Power Rangers creative team. The panel will cover the history of the series, the new DVD release of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the show’s current incarnation as Power Rangers Super Samurai.

Shout! Factory, who are releasing all of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers on DVD, are presenting the panel, which will be moderated by Shout’s Brian Ward.

Attendees at San Diego Comic-Con will be able to purchase a Comic-Con exclusive Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Complete Series DVD Box set at Shout’s booth. The set contains all 145 episodes of the original Power Rangers series, plus the ten-episode Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Alien Rangers.

The Power Rangers: 20 Years and Beyond panel will take place on Thursday, July 12 at 2pm in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront - Indigo Room.

I so loved the original series, all hail lord zedd!

HUGE fan of the show when i was around 4 to 8 years old.

Watched it all the way up to Power Rangers in Space and afterwards stoped watching it.

Ahaha this brings back good old memories... I don't even remember the plot though O.O

evil witch escapes, teenagers are made heroes and beats the witch over and over again. Her boss shows up and takes over things but he gets beat up time and time again. the witch uses a potion to marry her boss and they after a long time trying beat the heroes but they are run out of town by a machine empire which they end up defeated.

goes something like that.

I just recently started back watching the first season and its amazing how corny some of the stuff is that seemed really cool when I was a kid lol.

But I still got a huge dose of nostalgia so I'm enjoying it so far.

You don't like any of the others?

Samurai looks good, but no not really.

Without a doubt some of it looks cheap and poorly done but that was pretty good back then. And looks better then some animation they use for later series.
