Sony Computer Entertainment America put out a press release today announcing that the new PSP-3000 is now available in stores. Featuring an improved screen and built-in microphone, the PSP-3000 is designed to improve on Sony's portable experience. For gamers looking to purchase the new system, it will -- for the time being -- only be available in a Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters bundle that includes the Mystic Silver system, a copy of Size Matters, a UMD of National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets, a voucher for echochrome and a 1 GB memory stick.
Although there was very little fanfare preceding the announcement, the PSP-3000 bundle will hopefully encourage gamers to pick up the system if they haven't already. No word has been given on when a system-only package will be available.
