360 to Ban Unauthorized Memory Units

Preview Program members who receive a new system update this week better make sure they're not using unauthorized Xbox 360 storage memory units.

Microsoft's Major Nelson warns on his blog that "unauthorized Memory Units" will no longer work, and those who continue to use them after the update will not be able to access stored profiles and saved games.

He points out that if you're not sure what is legal and what's not, to check Microsoft's Xbox 360 accessories page and license agreement.

Sounds kinda like Nintendo cracking down on hacked wii's and Homebre mods with their system update.

Only thing on my Xbox is the stanfard harddrive ... so I'll be safe.
