10 years ago, I was 9 and my life was being filled up by the great joyous memories of the N64 and PS1 with the greatness of the PS2 over the horizon. Back then I thought gaming was great and getting better by the day.

But now, Gaming has become very expensive if you want brand new games for the PS3/Wii/Xbox 360. And now the companies feel that motion and 3D is a main must for all systems and handhelds. Just like internet, motion and 3D should be a option thing that you don't have to shove out more money to get.

So my question is, is the future of gaming (all the motion and 3D) the future you really want gaming heading to?

NO. Far from it. I think it should be optional, but company's don't like "optional choices". The only system that already has motion control is Wii... and it's second option is analog. And Sony is making it so most of the games are Move-only, and that's one of the reasons (the other one being that it actually looks pretty cool). Anyways, I like analog controllers better, and I hope that analog is always the primary option.

as do I, for many kids getting up and swinging around is no problem. but somedays after work I just want to sit and let me fingers do the playing and in the winter when I get sick there is no way I can use a motion controller.

Yeah, I think it should be optional.

Some people might not like 3D or motion. They might prefer to play games to old fashion way.

I think Motion won't be very popular in countries with a lot of fat people since fat people usually become fat from not exercising and eating fatty foods.

But, it might be popular with fat people who want to lose weight.

3D will be unpopular with people who wear glasses since wearing two sets of glasses to play games is kind of annoying unless they invent clip-on or prescription 3D Glasses like Sun glassses.

I usually use the GameCube controller, or sitting down with the WiiMote+ Nunchuck, if I get bored of sitting, or if I want to exercise with fun. But generally I want analog.

And I forgot to comment about the 3D part. I like the 3D thing. I think that will be successful. It actually seems pretty cool. But like Froggy said, it'll will probably keep gamers with glasses away.

is all Wii games so far are playable with both Wii remote and some analog controller?
If you mean the two controllers it comes with then yes. Some games only work with the two, and GameCube is not compatible, like New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Most games are though. I like using Gamecube controllers the most on my Wii games... Come to think of it, the WiiMote + Nunchuck combo is pretty much analog with little motion.
