Be prepared for the pre-E3 rumor mill to crank into overdrive between now and the show on June 7-9. Today's rumor: Microsoft plans to unviel full stereo 3D for the Xbox 360 at the show.

“They’d be mad not to do it, is all I can say,” an unnamed source source told VG247. "The machine is not only very capable, it’s more capable than the PlayStation 3 of doing stereo, assuming you don’t have one of the old crappy ones with the composite leads… assuming you have a HDMI Xbox.”

In the past, Microsoft has said that its plan on 3D revolves around consumer demand. Basically, since the company is not trying to sell 3D TVs as well, they said they'd wait to see if anyone actually wanted "fully" three dimensional gaming before they started providing it.

everyone is jumping on the 3D bandwagon.

With 3D televisions with Internet connection and Facebook access, anything is possible these days.
I mean you could very well have 3D MMORPGs that you can play on TV in the near future.

That would be really exciting and scary, and would definitely be a brand new gaming experience.

This would definitely bring a whole new dimension to Xbox 360 gaming.

About 2 years ago the Xbox's price was lower than the PS3, now with the new kinect and all the new games it has, its price is suddenly rising.

My uncle has a 3D tv, I wouldn't say no if they did make one :) I'd have some fun with it, imagine 3D COD, it'd be awesome!

I know right?
"Enemy at 6 o' clock" would honestly make you turn about quickly, otherwise, you're toast.

Yeah that's one of the main concerns for being "too real". I do think they may use hand gestures instead of entire body movements to control the character.
I honestly cannot imagine playing more than an hour at a stretch if it were to be a game that I would have to control with my actions in real life - it would simply be too strenuous.

I think those TVs are a waste of money as there are not many movies out there and my head always hurts after a hour of watching 3D in the cinema. And you, hardcore gamers always play COD day and night. I bet my brain would explode. :P

For me, the biggest turn off of all is that despite costing so much, they still require glasses, which seem unnatural. However, I think 3D has more potential for gaming than for movies or TV, so I wouldn't be against 3D games for the XBox!

Well, Microsoft had their press conference, and unless I missed something, I don't recall them mentioning anything about 3D at all.
Sony has it, Nintendo has it with the 3DS, and Microsoft... doesn't.

All I can say is, 3D hurts my eyes and my head. I'm happy without it. Besides, it's not good for anyone to stay long hours in from of a 3D screen.

It would be cool to see this. I haven't gotten into all the 3D related "tech" yet. I am not sure if it will be more annoying than fun. I have looked at these TV's in public places that hold demos (Ex. BestBuy's) but have never gamed with 3D. Maybe once the whole idea has set in a bit better, I will try it out. Now, even with all the fuss in 3D tech, it is still a quite new thing that could end up just being a short trend. We will see in the years to come.

Yeah, agreed. They would have to add a new requirements section to games, "Health Requirements: Must be in shape" lol.

Wow this is real quite interesting. Apart from the 3DS which is a portable handheld console, there isnt any other game console that offers 3D gaming. This will definitely be worth looking forward to!
