Good news for those considering getting the 3DS Circle Pad Pro - it seems as though the peripheral's battery life is much, much better than the system itself. In fact, as reported by Andriasang, the expansion's battery life is a whopping 480 hours. Whoa. Not bad for a single AAA battery, which the device will come packed with.
According to Nintendo, the 3DS itself has a battery life of 3-5 hours. This means that you could technically drain the life of 120 systems with your Circle Pad Pro before having to change the battery. Not that this scenario will ever happen, of course, but it's still interesting to note.
The device will launch in Japan later this week on December 10. The current list of supported software includes Resident Evil Revelations, Monster Hunter 3G, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble, Dynasty Warriors Vs and Kingdom Hearts 3D.

too bad they didn't make the 3DS to draw off power from that extra battery.
