In a 35-second clip shared on the platform, the Reddit user showed off their portable emulation of the 3DS using the Steam Deck. The video started with the gamer playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

That's an expensive 3DS though. Not gonna lie. And I really want to know if you can use the Wifi capabilities and something like a touch screen, especially if you can play Kid Icarus Uprising. Because if you can't then why use it for emulation? The point in the 3DS is it's cheaper than this and it plays all the retro handheld titles if you put it up to the test and mod it.

All my games are in CIA File format, is there a way to get them to work on Citra on the steam deck?

It is nice that it is possible to play 3DS games on the Steamdeck. I wonder how good would 3DS games look on a higher end more modern monitor found on the Steamdeck.

What is cia format to even begin with?

Like an extension for a 3DS ROM file. Not sure if that's how it reads in the emulator

Uhhhh, I don't think that is the right format but could be wrong.

It’s the file extension for ROMs that allows hacked 3DS’s to install through the FBI software. Though emulators like Citrus use the .3DS extension.
