3DS Release Date Announcement Coming

Bloomberg Japan announced today that Nintendo Japan's head of PR Yasuhiro Minagawa announced to them that Nintendo will be announcing the 3DS's pricing and release time frame in Japan on September 29.

Got that? It looks like September 29 is when we'll at last find out when we'll be able to get the 3DS and how much we'll have to pay for it.

Bloomberg also said that Nintendo plans on announcing shipment targets for the year. Someone should be able to take all this information and figure out how much the 3DS is going to go for on Ebay following release.

The Bloomberg report says that Minagawa revealed all this insider information to them during a telephone interview conducted earlier today.

I think it will be $200 (maybe around $180 if not), and the release date will probably be October or November for Japan, and January or February for the US and other regions.

January or February be a really bad time to release something new like that as everyone would have spent their money from the holidays and be busy with other games. I would say towards springs for other regions if it's not all released at the same time.

True. Then maybe December world wide. That would be a good thing because Nintendo would make a lot of money from holiday sales.
