Okay guys,

I feel as though I wasted a lot of money the past year or so, so I want to make it right by limiting myself to only buying 5 games for the year. This does not include games I've pre-ordered/paid for, such as A Hat in Time, nor games purchased as gifts.

So, at the moment I'm trying to compile my list. These are the potential candidates for the spot, with finalised ones as bolded.

- Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (3DS)
- Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (Vita)
- Persona 5 (PS3)
- Mario Kart 8 (Wii U)
- Super Smash Bros Wii U / 3DS (Wii U / 3DS)
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (Wii U)
- Yoshi's New Island (3DS)
- Yarn Yoshi (Wii U)

And here is my list of games I have purchased throughout the year to make sure I don't go over my limit:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

So yeah.

I need suggestions about which titles to choose. What do you guys reckon? Also, do you think I've missed anything important?

Since you're from Australia, I'm guessing you already got Bravely Default?

And well, from that list I would recommend Persona 5, Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros Wii U.

Also, if you are really serious about only buying 5 games this year, I would suggest leaving the 5th slot empty just in case they announce something epic later on.

I'm not really interested in Bravely Default so that hasn't made the list.

With regards to Mario Kart and Smash, the problems with those are that I own many other games in the series and I don't know if the new additions will add enough to the experience to warrant the purchase. They'd be good to ask people as gifts though because everybody knows what Mario Kart is but might not know what Danganronpa is. :p Also, my housemates are probably going to end up getting them so I can probably borrow their copies as well.

I've pretty much settled in Danganronpa because it just sounds really interesting. I guess I'll bold that. :p I would have Persona 5 locked in if I had beaten P4G and P4A, but I'm still working through those right now and don't want to move on until they're complete.

I prefer Mario Kart and Yoshi over Smash, so that will likely not win a spot, at least not this year. P

As for Tropical Freeze, I really loved DKCR so it's probably getting a spot, just need to make sure I'm not filling up a spot that could be used for something else.

How can you not like Bravely Default? o.o Its pretty much going to be the best RPG released on the 3DS o.o You tried the demo at least?

I never played Smash, but I do get your point about Mario Kart. I lost interest in Mario Kart 7 pretty fast, although you have to admit that MK8 will be entirely different.

As for Danganronpa, I didn't like the anime much, so I am not sure about the game.

No I haven't tried the demo. I've heard good things about it but nothing special enough to really entice me to buy it.

I know a lot of people who liked the Danganronpa Anime but I purposely didn't watch it so I could play the game instead. I love those Ace Attorney-ish games, as you can probably guess.
