Well, this is a video that's gonna depress quite a few people. Or anyone involved in game development:
As the title suggests, it's a video by Guru Larry on Youtube showing games which were simply released in a broken state in the developers because they couldn't be bothered to fix the issues. And trust me, these are messed up examples...
For example, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 has that giant patch because hey, that's actually the game you paid for. The disc basically contains the tutorial and engine and that's about it.
The Gladiator example is pretty bad too. No room for an ending, so the devs just made the final boss invincible. If you do beat it via hacks, the game crashes.
Same with the Dennis the Menace game, where one jump is deliberately meant to be impossible to make so the player wouldn't realise the last boss and ending outright doesn't exist.
And the RoboCop port one is just extra fail. They screwed up a level, so it's a glitchy and unplayable mess. To avoid people coming across that, they simply made the time limit in the last level too short.
Makes you appreciate Sonic 2006 and Sonic Boom. At least they're beatable (in theory), and each have final bosses and endings.
But what do you think about this video?
