Well, 8chan is a pretty controversial place. It's the site where most of the rebells from 4chan gathered after m00t changed the site's policy in regards to GamerGate and social justice warriors. If I'm not mistaken, 8chan was taken down for a few weeks for hosting underage pornography too, but managed to come back by hosting it in another country where American laws don't apply.
