Today is 9/11 and has been 7 years after September 11th, the day when 2 planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, 1 in the pentagon, and another in a field. A lot of people died that day, and I hope no one here has lost a loved one on that day, but if you did then I'm sorry you lost him/her. I hope everyone puts those lost in their prayers.
QUOTE (Shadow Cypher @ September 11, 2008 05:44 pm) I know they weren't on the same date, but, what about the London, Madrid, and Tokyo bombings?

Old stuff? They happened in the same time frame as 9/11.

You don't get what I'm trying to say, they all happened around the same time, date and year wise, yet you're saying that some are old while others aren't.

I understand what your saying but the new ones are recognized more then the old and soon they will be recognized but not to a full extent.
I couldn't post in this unitl now (emotional reasons), but everyone lost that day was in my thoughts. I watched the dedication of the Pentagon Memorial on t.v. and I can't wait to go see it in person. I have a friend that was in the Pentagon. I plan to see all of the benches, but spend more time at his bench.
Anyway, I agree that all the bombings should be remembered on their anniversaries. Not to say that the other bombings are any less important, it's just that 9/11 happened on our home land, so it's much more significant to us than the bombings that happened in other countries. (Not that it's right, it's just the nature of things.)
