Google is reportedly working with Taiwan-based Quanta Computer to create a $99 Nexus tablet, with a launch due by the end of the year.
According to DigiTimes' sources, the device will feature a single-core processor, but won't have input from Asus, who collaborated with Google for its Nexus 7 tablet.

If this is true, and Google does release an official $99 Google Nexus Tablet with Android 4.1, this tablet could sell better then the Amazon Kindle Fire which still is one of the best selling budget tablets.
I wonder how long it will take to release a $59 tablet which may convince people who were not planning to get a Tablet get one for web browsing, reading, video, and casual gaming.
