my issue is that it's too small, my dad has big fingers so he most likely won't be able to use this.

There most likely be those tiny pointing pens for people with bigger fingers to use to point at stuff like how the DS has a pen to use to type, and point.

That kind of kills it though and have to worry about keeping track of the stylus pen.

I think it won't be too hard to make a long hole in a smartwatch like the DS with a hole for the pen, and tie a string to the watch when it is out of the hole like those pens with a string on the end tied to a table to prevent people from stealing them.

There are also keychain size stylus which you can tie to your Keychain, a necklace, or jacket zipper tab.

Most likely, there would be external keyboards and touchpads which you can also attach to the watch's strap, or use as a second bracelet like how a lot of tablets, and smartphones now have external mouse, and keyboard accessories for the big finger people, or people who rather still use a keyboard and touchpad.
