Rejoice RPG lovers, Atlus will keep your 3DS going a bit longer as the company just announced not one but three new games coming to the console in late 2017/early 2018. Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux will come to the handheld.

I personally want to play Radiant Historia.

I love the games that Atlus makes, but they're all just so long and tedious. I really loved Code of Princess, but it was a 2D beat em up with RPG elements. It was actually my first 3DS and my favorite for a long time. I haven't played Citizen's of Earth even though I own it, and Conception II was really weird since it was part visual novel and part rpg. Like you had to build relationships with a bunch of girls to make Star Children with and battle with you. (I didn't know what conception meant at the time of buying it.) Though, the only one I really liked besides Code of Princess was Etrian Odyssey Untold. It was also part VN, part rpg, but the gimmick was you use the bottom screen to create the map of the places you explore on a grid. Though, for as cool as the story was, and how neat the idea was, I never beat it because my 3DS lost all it's memory due to transferring the data to my New 3DS and I haven't replayed it because it feels like such a long game.

The one reason I don't think I'll get them though is because Atlus makes really long games. I mean, there's nothing wrong with a long game, but it's also an rpg and as much as I love rpg's I can't play super heavy JRPG's because I really hate how enemies start getting health in the 10 thousand+ range and then like halfway through they gain almost all, if not all of it. Honestly, I wish they'd make another 2D side scrolling rpg beat em up. I think it's the reason I like Senran Kagura so much. It reminds me of Code of Princess.

Of course, I'll keep my eye on them to see what they turn out to be. I've heard of Shin Megami Tensei, but I don't know what kind of game it is or anything else about it.

That's why I like code devices so I can just buff my guys and enjoy RPGs at a faster pace.

Also I always wanted to play code princess, but I heard you needed to co-op it to fully enjoy the game, thus I never got it.

I never played co-op and I thought it was just fine. Actually, I don't even think I knew there was co-op until you told me so.. You should try it. Especially since it goes on sale on the eshop sometimes. You may also find it cheap at Gamestop or another gaming store.

I think I can get it cheaply from ebay.
